Richard PIKE Obituary

PIKE, Richard Baxter (Rickie). Dearly loved husband of Sally and adored father of Rosa and Charlie. After a courageous battle fought with dignity and his absolute force of will, Rickie passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on 14th July, aged 57 years. Eldest son of Gary (deceased) and Pamela Pike, brother and brother-in-law of Michael and Katherine Hume- Pike, and adored big brother of Nicola Pike and her partner Patrick Fontein. The best, fun uncle to Alex and Sebe Pike, William (Deceased), Oliver and Sam Thode, Josh Motion, Freya and Nate Motion. Rickie was also the much loved and respected son-in-law of John and Ann Motion and brother- in-law to the extended Motion family. Heartfelt thanks to Simi Lolohea and Jody Jordan for both giving Rickie every chance to extend his quality time with us and to Cranford Hospice for their impeccable care of Rickie and his family through his journey. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Te Mata Park and can be left at the service or made online via www. tematapark.co.nz. This was Rickie's back doorstep and the place that gave him so much pleasure. A celebration for Rickie will be held at Peak Vision Church , Te Mata Road, Havelock North on Saturday, July 22nd at 2pm. Messages to the Pike Family C/- 303 Wilson Rd, Hastings. 4120.
