DRAPER, Richard Michael (Dick). Aged 89. Passed away on 1 April 2021, surrounded by loving family. Much loved father and father-in-law of Michael and Sherie, James and Janene, Marian and Vern, Patrick, Carmel and Doug, and Digby. Loving Pop of Jacob, Claude, Genevieve, Samuel, Victoria, Sean, Jack, Henry, Will, Barney, Charlie, BellaRose, Coco and Brogen. A great and generous man. A true gentleman who was much loved and will be dearly missed. Special thanks to the amazing, loving, caring staff at Logan Campbell Retirement Village. A service to celebrate Dick's life will be held at St Michaels Church, 6 Beatrice Avenue, Remuera on Wednesday 7 April at 11.00am.

Dick will be terribly missed. He was loved by all of us and he will be cherished forever.

A sincere thank you to everyone who looked after us on our trips to New Zealand. We have many fond memories of him there and his many trips to Ireland.


A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts.

Very sorry to hear about Uncle Dick’s passing. We have lovely memories of Uncle Dick from his trips to Ireland. He was a lovely man and great fun. I loved seeing the joy it brought to Grandad having his brothers home. It meant so much to us all.
