So sorry to hear of your lose Julie. I always enjoyed great banter with Richard. There was no doubt about how committed he was to his family and community.

What a vast hole Richard will leave in the community, always so positive and wise. I'm so sorry to the family for their loss.

Very sad to hear the news. A good friend and mentor back in the Petone days. Forever grateful to Richard who, as a man of faith, chose to invest into my life at a challenging time. Grateful for many fond memories.

My heartfelt condolences are with Richard's family, friends and colleagues at this time. It was a pleasure working with him on the board of COLAB over these last few years and through my working relationship with the council. I was moved to tears the day he and other members from the Orchard Church turned out in force to help me move house, its kindness I had never experienced before. he set about removing and then rebuilding my fence to aid the move like it was no bother. He was a central figure in our community, always willing to lend a hand to people in need and a strong advocate for all. He will be sorely missed by myself, the rest of the COLAB team, the team at Tapuika and all who knew him. `Kua hinga te totara o Te Waonui a Tane - A mighty totara has fallen. His impact will never be forgotten and his legacy and energy will live on forever in this community and in our hearts. Love and peace to you Richard xx

Richard, one of my dearest cousin's, I'm still trying to take in that he has gone. All my love to Julie and family. Really sorry to hear about Richard, condolences to Julie and the family. Only good memories of our school years and great to have caught up with the family a few years ago at the College reunion. RIP mate.

Richard, you were a real man of God. I am privileged to have grown up knowing you. All my love to Julie and family, this must be so unexpected and difficult. Know that those of us from Petone are gathering to pray with and for you and to share our memories of Richard.
