Richard. Still in disbelief and shock to hear this news. I met you over 20 years ago in a professional capacity but you soon became my personal lawyer. Would see you infrequently but your kindness, humour and just all round goodness always radiated every time we bumped in to each other or met. My heart felt thoughts to your family, your kids I have no doubt will miss you dearly. Rest in peace my friend.

Friend and lawyer for over 30 years. I'm still in disbelief that you are gone. Thank you for all the support you gave so freely. You always brought a smile to my face no matter how dire the legal circumstances. Everything you did was done with passion and a genuine care for people. You were one of a kind.
My thoughts are with your family at this time.

Reading this message leaves me absolutely shocked not only were you a lot younger than me but you were much wiser in your outlook.You were always there for me and even though we had a tumultuous relationship we truly loved each other in the work sense. It is true the world is a greyer place without you My sadness for your children with what you have gone through in the past year with the loss of your beloveds Linda the mother of your children and now your children face the loss of you my heart breaks for them. I knew Richard for the past 35 years, being my lawyer and friend. He will be so sadly missed, at Lovegrove's.

Onk - what will we do without you? It's hard to imagine. It was just lovely to see you so happy and contented with Jyoti. You were so many things to so many people - loving partner, dad, brother, son, uncle, colleague, friend - the hole you have left is huge. Your cheeky smile, endless wit and ever present sense of fun are irreplaceable. Not to mention the unconditional love you had for us all.

I knew you as a client for the past 8 years an you did an amazing job as my lawyer. You were an amazing person in every way; friendly, caring, vibrant and was ready to listen and give advice any time. Every time I visited your office, you would greet me genuinely like a long lost friend.
In the morning of the day you departed I received an email from you apologizing for the unusual delay in carrying out some work due to your commitments with your mother's passing away. I couldn't believe the unexpected, shocking news I heard later during the same day.
It was a pleasure and a privilege to have known you Richard and you will be greatly missed. Thanks for the happy memories.
My condolences to Richard's family and loved ones who must be missing him dearly.

So very sad to hear this news. 'Boy' and I were goods mates at University and played in the Varsity U-20s together. As I have been spending most the time since then overseas, we hadn't caught up as much as I now wish. Was always ready to drop everything and meet me whenever I needed a signature witnessed at his office where we have a catch up for a few minutes. Always had a cheeky grin, good laugh often at himself and was excellent company over a drink. Boy, thanks for the privilege of knowing you and rest in peace - you left far too early. Deepest condolences to his family, especially his two sons.

Great Guy

I only visited Richard as a client about once every two years but on each and every occasion he would bounce out of his office looking like he had just towelled off after a workout and hot shower greeting me genuinely like a long lost friend. His energy was infectious. You will be greatly missed by us all Richard !

I will miss our lovely banter and our sharing of jokes and the wonderful chats that we used to share between us. You were always there for your family and such a wonderful son to your mum and dad and a wonderful father to your boys. The loss for them will be huge and for the rest of your family. I wish you peace in the heavenly place you have gone to, reunited with your mum, dad and brother. I am glad I met you and knew you. Thanks for the happy memories.
