BLUNDELL, Richard James (Jim). 7th Bn, Hawkes Bay Regiment; R280967 Merchant Navy, Pacific, North & South Atlantic. Jim died peacefully with family at his side on Saturday, December 9 2017, in Taradale, Napier. Gone to the happy hunting ground. Loved son of Richard and Teresa Blundell (both deceased). Loved husband of Patricia (Pat) Joan Blundell (deceased), formerly of 13 Lawrence Road, Hospital Hill, Napier. Cherished father of Coralie, Dennis and Helen, Maria (deceased), Aileen (deceased), Phillip and Helen, Bernie and Janet, and Paddy and Carolyn. Loved grandfather of twelve grandchildren, and 19 great- grandchildren. Vigil Prayers will be recited at Beth Shan Funerals, 157 Georges Drive, Napier on Tuesday, December 12 at 6.00pm. A service for Jim will be held in the Napier Conference Centre (ex War Memorial), 48 Marine Parade, Napier on Thursday, December 14 at 11.00am, followed by interment at Wharerangi Lawn Cemetery.
