Rhonda PEAKE Obituary

PEAKE, Rhonda Enid (nee Leathart). With heavy hearts we wish to announce, Mum, after a courageous battle, passed away peacefully at Auckland Hospital on 14th February 2020. Treasured wife of Gerry (deceased) and the most unbelievable and marvelous mother and mother-in-law to Margaret and Paul, Jeffrey and Sandra, Raewynne and John, and Steve. Mum was such a loved and adored Nana of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mum's door was always open, the kettle put on and baking was brought out. A true giver, this world is now a sadder place. A huge thanks to Ward 68, Auckland Hospital for their absolute respect and nursing of Mum whilst in their care. A Memorial Service for Mum will he held at Grange Manor, 400 Dominion Road, Mount Eden on Thursday 20th February at 1.30pm. Donations Can be made to PAWS - Pet Animal Welfare Shops in lieu of flowers.

A special adopted Aunty. Our late mums dear school friend. Never to be forgotten memories of our school holiday visits armed with luncheon sausage and pink iced buns. RIP Aunty Rhonda. Love Vivienne, Peter & Jennifer

Thank you Margaret for attempting to contact Mum (Shirley Olney) and I managed to recover the message. Mum wishes me to convey her sorrow on the passing of Rhonda who she had communicated with since Dads passing and who she says lived close to Dad in St Andrews Road many years ago as well as being a cousin. I will come down on Thursday to represent my family in giving thanks for Rhonda's contribution to our lives and look forward to meeting "cousins".

How lucky we were to have Rhonda in our lives. We will dearly miss the immense love, compassion and kindness that emanated effortlessly from her. Rhondas family were everything in the world to her and each and every member was made to feel, love & treasured in every aspect and in return their love and support of her was immense.
