Rhoda BATTEN Obituary

BATTEN, Rhoda Frances and James (Jim). Rhoda passed away 24 May 2024, aged 97 years. James passed away 25 May 2024, aged 99 years. A devoted couple for 73 years Cherished parents and parents-in-law of Ron (deceased) and Michele, Jan and Alan Bailey and Kenneth (deceased infant). Treasured Gran and Pop of their grandchildren and great grandchildren. A service to celebrate Rhoda and Jim's lives will be held on Friday 31 May at 1 pm, in the Chapel of Morris and Morris Funerals Whangarei, 199 Kamo Road, Whangarei. Dear Jan, Alan and family. Unfortunately, I am not with you today, (David is though), but as I look out my widow at the trees I am remembering the trees that Jim planted on our/his land at 9 Te Arai Point Road, to make it so beautiful and I am also remembering Rhoda's delicious lamingtons that she would make for us. Two people filled with so much kindness. We treasure our times with them. Linda, David and Leon.
