MCCORMACK, Rex. 16th December 1937 - 1st February 2026. Passed away at Waikato hospital, surrounded by family. Loved husband of Jan for 61 years, father of Michelle, 'Pops' to Georgia and Myles, and great-grand Poppa to Noah. Best mate of Colin, and great fishing buddy of Colin and Nev. 'For years the sea was where your soul felt most content. Best buddy Colin beside you, and fishing rods well bent'. To our special Dad and Pops: They say there is a reason, and they say that time will heal; but neither time nor reason will change the way I feel.A thousand words won't bring you back, I know, because I've tried; neither will a thousand tears, I know, because I've cried. So let me tell you something, so there will be no doubt - you're so wonderful to think of, but so hard to be without. Honouring Rex's wishes, a private cremation has been held.We will be celebrating Rex's life with family and friends in Tairua, at a future date.
