To Rex´s family,

`Mr Rex´ was our neighbour from 2003 until 2016.
We lived directly across the road from him at 17 Tauranga Pl.
Rex & I shared the same birthday, although he was 40 years older.
Genuinely so sad to hear of his passing.
He was a great neighbour & always friendly & caring.

I saw him last in late 2024 when I popped in to see him. He asked after my family & was very interested in how they all were.

With our love & condolences,

Anthony, Carol, Emma, Olivia & Reuben Turnbull

A lovely service today to remember Rex. To see the whole family speak so eloquently was heartwarming and emotional. Rex was a special part of our lives, and especially the connection that Rex and Sue had. We are all the better for knowing him.

So sorry to hear of Rex's passing. Life long friends & neighbours on Tipoka Rd Rahotu, our family has great memories of a kind & generous Uncle Rex & Aunty Palma. Fond memories of their warm home, awesome garden, grounds & fruit trees. Rex & Palma were a great support to our parents & as kids we saw a lot of them & Lyn & Michelle. We certainly have appreciated the time Rex took to catch up with us on his trips back to Taranaki once they settled in Paihia & then Orewa. Condolences to Lyn & Michelle & the wider Hopkins whanau, thinking of you all at this time, from the Wright Family.

Sorry to hear that Rex has passed away.
We bought the farm on Tipoka road from Rex & Palma 50 years ago.
We enjoyed his regular visits back to the farm which he was interested in.
Our sympathy to the family.

I well remember Rex when I was a young boy growing up on Tepoka Road, Rahotu. Did haymaking and the odd milkings for Rex and Palma. That was some 60 years ago!!! Condolences to Rex's family. Kevin Nielsen.
