Rebecca WOOLLEY Obituary

WOOLLEY, Rebecca Helen (Bex). Bex was tragically taken from us too soon at the age of 37, doing something she was absolutely passionate about. Dearly loved daughter of Liz and Brett and adored sister of Mark. Cherished granddaughter of her Nan and Grandad (both deceased). Soulmate and partner of Chris. Her vivaciousness touched many lives across four corners of the earth. Words cannot describe the depth of our despair. A date for Rebecca's service will be advised once confirmed. In Bex's words â?" "Don't send cards, they are a waste of money. No cut flowers, they die." Instead, donations please to Marlborough Emergency Management, please contact [email protected]

Liz, Brett, Mark and Chris.
We were privileged to work alongside Bex during her time with the Marlborough Red Cross Emergency Response team. Her positive attitude, boundless energy and eagerness to serve her community were an inspiration to us all. We felt proud to see her grow in confidence as she also joined the Civil Defence team and then St John. She was so excited to be starting her nursing training earlier this year. A woman of tiny physical stature, she is an enormous loss to the communities she served. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you try to comprehend and come to terms with the loss of your beautiful girl.

Brett, Liz & Mark.
Such a sad time for you all. When we heard the news the kids immediately talked about the memories of the swimming years with Rebecca at Waitakere City Swimming. Rebecca was part of a great group of swimmers in those early years. Taken far too soon.
Deepest sympathy we are all thinking of you.

Your dedication to the emergency services of Marlborough is to be admired, it has been an honor to serve beside you in the ambulance service, to have you help us in Coastguard and to follow your exploits in the specialist ropes rescue team.

Your dedication to assisting those in need is to be commended.

You have certainly lived a full life and loved the life you lived!

To Bex's family. I am devastated at your loss. I was lucky enough to work with Bex at Adis and we were good friends for many years. Even though we hadn't kept in contact for a while I still thought of her often and followed her never-ending adventures on facebook. Her smile and loving nature were infectious. A beautiful young woman who will leave a big hole in this world. All of Bex's ex-Adis colleagues are very sad. Much love to you all.

I was shocked and saddened to hear about the passing of Bex. I first met her as a 5 year old at Flanshaw Road Primary. I have very fond memories of her big warm smile. We went through all of our schooling years together and always had a friendship. I hadn't seen Bex in a number of years but thought about her on occasion. My thoughts are with you all at this very tough time.

WOOLLEY, Rebecca Helen (Bex). Born June 11, 1984. Passed away on October 31, 2021. Treasured granddaughter of Phil (deceased). Precious niece of Alison and Mark. Carly and Russell. Kath and Simon, and Stephen. Adored cousin of Kelly, Nikky, Michael and Charlotte. Simon and Sarah, Grant and Ché, and Jaci. Joel, James and Aiden and all their children. Heartbreakingly taken from us all far too early. What she lacked in size, she made up for in soul and spirit. Words are insurmountable to the depth of our grief. "All the love you created is still there. You live on - in the hearts of everyone you have touched and nurtured while you were here."
