Sad to just find out that Ray had passed, we met at work in early 1970 he was a great offset printer I admired he skills. Me a Liverpool fan and Ray a Gunners supporter we had some good season rivalry. Life has it twist and turns and sadly we slowly lost touch, but he left fond memories for myself and spouse.i am always reminded of him when Arsenal are playing on tv. RIP Ray as final whistle blows, let´s call it a draw

It was always great fun spending time with you, either here in England or over at yours in New Zealand.
Lots of fond memories for me to always remember, from the Christmas it snowed when you were over with Greg, the trip to Emirates, and touristing around New Zealand with you to name just a few memories.

Thank you for all the joy you brought and smiles!

Rest In Peace Uncle Ray.
Love Chris

Ray was a longtime family friend, with connections that went back many years. He will be remembered with warmth and appreciation for the place he held in our lives and he will be missed. We are grateful to have shared precious moments when Ray came home to England bringing Greg with him. We made some great family memories.

We'll always look back on the times we spent with Uncle Ray with a smile. Whenever he came to visit we always had the best time together.

He was really laid back and being around him was so easy with lots of laughs.

We are so grateful for those moments and will carry them with us always.

Miss you, Uncle Ray. Thanks for all the laughs and the good times.

With love from Alan and Tony.

I have nothing but great memories of uncle Ray even though we lived thousands of miles away.

I was in primary school the first time he came over. I remember the day because we left school early and went straight round to nan and grandads to meet him.
He was always alot of fun, energetic and as a kid he was great company.

He came over again in 93 or 94. He travelled over with Greg and stayed over Christmas. I remember that it started snowing late Christmas day/boxing day. Ray and Greg must of brought luck with them as I don't remember many white Christmas's since.

We also took a trip over to New Zealand in the early 90's. Ray took us to loads of places Rotorua and Rangitoto Island being some of the highlights.

The last time I remember seeing him was in 2007 and the highlight being a tour of the new Emirates stadium and the chance for Ray to meet Charlie George who was our guide for the day. It was then followed by far too many beers down a local pub but many laughs around the pool table (some photos attached)

I imagine it's been a really difficult time for the close family over the last few months and years. Thoughts are with you. RIP "Uncle Ray"
