RATAHI, Rangihoea (Hohapata). 29 January 1925 - 18 November 2010. Taken suddenly at Whakatane. Dearly beloved mother of Reginald, Stanley, Katrina Maude, David, and Enid, and treasured Nana of her many mokopuna. Mum will lie in state at Puawairua Marae until the Funeral Service at 11.00am Sunday, 21 November followed by her interment next to her husband and soulmate Patuwhitiki at Te Paroa Urupa, Whakatane. Kua hinga te tuhi mareikura o Ngati Hikakino. Kua takahia e ia te ara tapu o ona matua tipuna. Ko hinga te Totara o te wanui a Tanemahuta. E te Ukaipo, e te Poutokomanawa o te whanau, hoki wairua atu koe ki te kahui ariki ki te kainga tapu o Matangireia haere, e moe, takoto.

My Nana . . Very much looked forward to spending this weekend with you I'm so sorry it didn't come, but I got to be there with you earlier than I anticipated and what a beautiful day it was!
