So sorry to hear of Ralph's passing. My very deep condolences to the family. I did not know Ralph but we have recently purchased what I understand was his Clinker boat, the one that features on the cover of his book the Sea and the Soil. I discovered this sad news while searching the internet for his book in the hope that I could reunite the boat and the book. Ralph's clinker is in very fine shape and will be returning to the Sounds soon, a place I understand it spent many wonderful years with Ralph and his family. My very best, Cameron Lawes, Nelson, NZ.
