It was with shock I read of Rae´s passing as I was just penning an email due to not being able to attend Gavin´s funeral. My sibling and I pass on our thoughts to Donal and Louise at his hard time

Kia ora and kia kaha to Rae's family. Rae was a long-time member of NZSA - and still one of our two active representatives on the Public Lending Right Advisory Group. She chaired our Auckland branch for many years and well as editing the NZ Author magazine for a period of time. Active, involved, gracious and kind, dedicated and staunch for writers rights, and a dear friend to many members and fellow writers. She will be sadly missed. NZSA sends our condolences to her family - both Rae and Gavin were attendees at our AGM's and branch meetings and we mourn the loss of them both. The news of her passing was in our Literary Bulletin last week and we are planning a full obituary for the next NZ Author magazine. Jenny Nagle NZSA CE

So very sad and shocked to hear of Rae's passing. She was a dear and treasured friend and even though we had little contact in recent years she was frequently in my thoughts. Sincere condolences to the family.

Every time I see or bite into a ginger crunch, I remember Raes fare, which could never be compared to any bought one.
I remember you with lots of laughs a the Howick Little Theatre directing the play, Four Flat Whites in Italy.
May you and Gavin rest peacefully together and may you get to direct higher proceedings.

Hi Donal & Louise, I am very sad to hear about the passing of your mum and dad. It brings back fond memories of the times in Milford as kids with you all.
