Rae EWING Obituary

EWING, Rae. Passed away on 8 September 2022, aged 84 years at Bruce McLaren Retirement Village Auckland. Rae was surrounded by the love of her family. Beloved wife of Paul (deceased). Loving mother of Glenn, Michelle and Rebecca and mother-in-law to Donna, Keith and John. Cherished Nana to Crystal, Amber and Trent, and will also be dearly missed by Brooke and Nicole. Dear daughter of Douglas and Ida, Rae was a treasured sister to Fiona and Fay (deceased), sister-in-law to Ted and a much loved Aunty. Sincere thanks to the team at The Village. "We have no tomorrows to share but yesterdays memories will always be there". In lieu of flowers donations to Alzheimers NZ or NZ Cancer Society would be appreciated. A service will be held at All Saints Chapel, Purewa Crematorium, 100 St Johns Road, Meadowbank on Friday 16 September at 2.00pm.

Remembering my dear friend Rae at this sad time. We shared so much fun together over the years and I have been looking back at all the photos taken together. Round Table days, being together at NZ service, Gallipoli in 2001, meeting up in Turkey and staying with Rae & Paul in Hertfordshire, London when they were house sitting. . So many fabulous memories of a great mate.

My heart goes out to you in your sadness at losing your beloved Mum. Our Mums are special and I know you will miss her greatly. I have so many fun memories of Rae and your Dad together, especially in our Round Table years and I treasure those immensely. They were always good to have around.
Your Mum was kind and hospitable too and always made Peter and I welcome.
