Dear Quinten was a very special friend to me and to all of my fellow modelers at our Western Districts Model Railway Club Road in Glen Road, Henderson, West Auckland.
He was always ready to give a helping hand at our Club and participated on our Club's behalf at the other venues of Model Railway shows that were held from time to time. We often requested him to value and price the model trains and rolling stock for us, when we had a sale for our club fund raising efforts. He also volunteered for other activities of our Club when we had open days at regular intervals.
We all will miss him very much. A decent gentleman.
May his soul rest in peace.

For years Quentin set the questions and led the quiz sessions at the Titirangi RSA. He put an enormous effort into asking a huge variety of questions on many topics. Goodness knows where he got all that information from nor how he found the time and energy needed to do his thorough preparation!
Evening and afternoon quizzes with Quentin were most enjoyable and challenging, often lightened with Quentin's jokes and awful puns which always got a community groan from everyone.
Since you stopped doing our quizzes several years ago Quentin, you have been missed so much by us all. Rest In Peace.

Quentin will be sorely missed by all down at the Western Districts Model Railway club.
He was well respected and was always there to lend a hand where he could. His knowledge of things trains was uncanny at times and you could see that he enjoyed the banter with fellow modelers when he knew he was correct.
