As a young girl accompanying my late Nanny to every poukai or koroneihana for the late and our Maori Kuini Te Ataairangikaahu. I would always be excited to see you perform on the ukulele and your voice was magical and memorable that made me and everyone around so welcomed and special. Thank-you Piripi you will be forever remembered and dearly missed

Munro, Piripi. Gone too soon. You were still young. Admittedly, I thought you were much older...lolz. I wanted to read (or even write) your life story. You were the backdrop to many of us involved in kapa haka at secondary school comps, koroneihana and so much more. You had done and given so much to so many over the years. Your ability to make connections through story telling helped to uplift people in ways that made them feel special. You will always be remembered for being our super star. Moe mai e te rangatira. Moe mai.

Dear Phillip. Special memories of childhood years in our small cul-de-sac. You were always ready to give advice when needed (or not). A leader in the making. I always believed you would become a Priest. I will cherish these memories. Condolences to Paul.

Dear Phillip. Special memories of our childhood years in our little cul-de-sac. You were always the sensible one, giving advice when needed (or not). A leader in the making. As a child I always believed you would be a Priest. I will cherish these memories. Condolences to Paul

Piripi (Philip) and I started Thames Convent School together and went right through primary to Standard 6. What a great asset to the school; he taught us the ukelale and some simple Maori songs that I still sing today, in quiet moments.
A wonderful personality and a solid friend. Sad to hear of his passing at such a young age.
