The Rev Ng Ping Nam lived a life of service to God and his fellowman.
From an early age he became a part of the Methodist Church in Hong Kong until 1968 when he was called to the Auckland Chinese Presbyterian Church.
In 1972, he took up the position of Honorary Port Chaplain, extending to the full time position of Port Chaplain at the Mission to Seamen.
From 1975 to 2009 he was involved in various capacities in the welfare of an increasing number of Mandarin speaking immigrants in the Auckland region.
A dedicated man of God. He has earned his rest.
