DELVES, Philomena Kotine Christine (nee Livesey). Born 21 May 1942 in Kotah, Rajastan (Formerly the eastern Rajaputana states), British India. Formerly Gosney, Died peacefully with her family beside her on Friday 15 December 2023. Adored mother and mother in law to Robin and Trudy, Kathy and Mike, and the best nana to Blake, Connor, Renee and Liam. Sister to Annette, Sibia, Bob, Helen, Galfred, Angela and Johnny. Affectionally known as Aunty Mena and Aunty Chris to so many. Daughter to the late Capt. Thomas Reginald Livesey and Etsun Livesey. A life of many experiences from being born in an Indian Maharaja's palace, to a childhood in Burma (Myanmar) and Lake Taupo. To joining the Woman's Army Corp (WAC), being an army wife and a seamstress. I've known Chris since the early days in Waiouru. She was the best neighbour to my family, so kind and caring. Unfortunately I haven't seen Chris since just after she returned from Singapore with her family. I did make contact with her a few years ago and I'm so thankful for that.
I have some lovely memories of playing with Robin and Kathy at their house in Waiouru, Chris always made me feel welcome. Such a beautiful lady with so many talents.
My mum and dad always had fond thoughts of Chris and was very grateful for her kindness shown when my family needed support during a difficult time. Chris even taught my mum how to drive a car back in the Waiouru days.
Sending my love and thoughts to you and your families Robin and Kathy
