I just heard about Phil's Passing today. He was a very well liked and known within Telecom NZ. This is very sad for those of us that knew him.

It was a shock to hear of Phil's passing. I hadn't spent a lot of time in his company, except for a few training courses. Most of my contact with Phil has been by way of phone calls over the last 14 years, during our time working for NEC and Entelar. Condolences to Phil's family. He is sadly missed.

As I sit here on return from work I contemplate telling my wife in the next room of Phil´s passing- such a shock.
I worked with Phil for a number of years in Telecom Key Platforms up to 2008 (oh how the time flies), and remember him fondly as a colleague and friend. Sadly we have lost touch, but have still seen Phil on the route to work in Dominion Rd over the years.
Please pass on our sincere condolences- Phil was a lovely guy, we are glad to have known him.

Regards,

Mark Ashton
