Phillip BIRD Obituary

BIRD, Phillip Jeffery, It is with great sadness we announce the loss of Jeffery Bird. On Friday, 10th February, 2023 at Whangarei Hospital. Jeff passed away suddenly as a result of a car accident. Jeffery was the much loved son of Nana Bird and brother of the late Ronald Bird, Arnold, Joyce, Lillian and Francis. Jeffery was loved, admired and respected by everyone he came in contact with and to say Jeffery was a "Colourful Character" is an understatement, as he was up there as a very funny guy with a sense of humour that we all will never forget. Jeffery will be very much missed by everyone who knew him, and is survived by his very best mate of 40 years Doug Clayton, along with his two nephews Graeme and Warren Bird. In accordance with Jeffery's wishes he will be "returned to sender" in good shape. Jeff insisted for his service to be an informal and a colourful affair, which will be held at Maunu Crematorium on Tuesday 21st February, at 12:30pm Cemetery Road, Maunu.
