Philippa SKYRME Obituary

Unfortunately I did not know Philippa well, but all the stories I heard about her told me she was a wonderful girl, and so loved by her family and friends. She was obviously an extraordinary person.
I am sorry I was not in NZ to attend her funeral.

Philippa I have the most wonderful memories of you. Thank you for always being a positive bubbly person. Your beautiful smile and caring nature was always a warm welcome to those around you. My thoughts and prayers are with your family and friends who have a long road ahead of them to live this life without you. This is not goodbye Philippa for we shall meet you again on the other side

We have so many wonderful memories of holidaying with Philippa and the rest of the Skyrme family at Martins Bay all those summers ago and we are so sad to hear that Philippa has passed away. Philippa was brave and defiant and funny as hell. I am proud to say she was my friend and I can't believe I won't hear her laugh again. You are missed, Phil, and you are loved.

Our hearts go to Phillipa's family at this time, such sadness losing someone with such a beautiful personality whose kindness, positivity and support I'll miss. We shared some great girly nights over dinner with Angela and Hunter and Phillipa and I saw some great movies, shared some rather indulgent cakes at coffee often in Mission Bay. Her infectious positivity lifted me when facing life's challenges despite she always had hers, always with an empathetic outlook, I'll miss that and her wise outlook on life. As my 6.5 yr said, Phillipa had really cool red hair mum:) they thought she was pretty cool! Memories retained in my heart of special moments shared, may her memory live on in her family so Hunter always remembers 'Aunty Phil' - his adored and cherished Aunty, a loving sister and daughter. I hope to offer the same support to Angela at such a difficult time. With much love may Phillipa be now at peace cared by angels, with all our love, Sarah, Nate & Jasper
