Philip TROWBRIDGE Obituary
TROWBRIDGE, Philip David Phil died at his home in Gulf Harbour on 1st October 2015 after a long illness; aged 77 years. He is survived by his wife Margaret, sons Richard and Steven and their partners Sarah and Heather, grandchildren Big James, Little James, Jessica, Jemma-Rose, Jack and Harry, sister in law Jan and her partner John and many special friends. Former proprietor of the Beachcomber Motel, Orewa, Phil was a true Yorkshireman who will be missed by all, G & T's will never be the same again. Thanks to the ADHB Radiology and Oncology, WDHB District Nurse team and very special thanks to Carol and her team at Hibiscus Hospice for their care and support. In accordance with Phil's wishes, a private cremation has been held.

Phil was a hard-working, kind hearted and generous man. He and Margaret were and are special friends, and terrific grandparents to our son James. We have many happy memories of days and evenings at the Beachcomber Motel in Orewa, sharing one of Phil's relaxing G & Ts, Margaret's wonderful cooking, and stories of life, travels and more. We will miss Phil and remember him always. RIP. Clare, Don, and James McKinnon (Big James)
