NORTH, Philip Edward (Phil). Phil left us on 1 May 2020. A good man with a steadying hand, taken far too young. Phil showed typical courage and quiet dignity through his illness. Loved and respected by Nadine and the late Bill Hill and all the Hill and Hartigan families. Our love and sympathy to Maree, Marion, Jared and Remy ? and to the North family.

We met Phil and Remy when dog walking .We knew he wasn't well but he never dwelt on it and had a real zest and positivity about him and loved taking Remy down the beach.He was really proud of his family and we pass on our sympathy to them.On behalf of all Phil's friends at Cornwallis Beach we will miss you.

I first met Phil when he was Chair of the Te Atatu Peninsula Business Association. He contracted me to manage the association and I have been there ever since. He was a kind, thoughtful, positive, pragmatic man and I am very saddened that the world has lost him. My very best wishes to his family.
