Philip DOWNS Obituary

DOWNS, Philip Edwin. Passed away peacefully at Franklin Memorial Hospital, Waiuku, on 26 December 2017, just 10 days short of his 80th birthday. Much loved husband of Anna (Ansie) for nearly 37 years, and treasured father and father-in-law of Sue and Paul Cunningham (Cooks Beach), Helen and Philip Jacobs (South Africa) and Georgina Collins (Omokoroa). Proud Grandpa of Damien, Luke, Matthew, Cruz, Rachel, Anna and Daniel. Free now from pain and reunited with his loving God. Sincere thanks to all doctors, nurses and supporting staff who took such great care of Philip whilst he was ill. A Funeral Service to celebrate Philips life will be held at Wesley Methodist Church, Queen Street, Pukekohe, on Friday 29 December, at 11.30 am, followed by Private cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to Franklin Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Fund, PO Box 380, Waiuku would be appreciated.
