I´ve heard recently about Peter´s passing and would like to wish the family my deepest sympathy. We had the honour of meeting and working for him in his Parnell home. Peter was a true gentleman and one of a kind, I man that would honour an hand shake without contract, charming and elegant he was charismatic and grounded. It is with great sadness that I write this message.
On behalf of WF Construction team to the ULLRICH family.
God Bless Him

I knew Peter briefly in the mid 1960s when we both new recruits with the Bank of New South Wales in Christchurch. We both attended a training course together in Wellington and had loads of fun...as young men do, in away home from scenarios.
My sincere condolences to his family.

To Carlyn, Jeremy, Annabelle, Jonathan and family - on behalf of me and my family wanted to offer my sincere condolences re Peter´s passing. Whilst I did not spend a lot of time with Peter or Uncle Peter I respected and admired him - always gracious - always humble, always interested, engaging, inspiring and garnered tremendous respect within our family - fact is he was revered. News of his passing was a huge shock and it´s fair to say I´ve shed a few tears and done some reflecting so feel for your loss.
A number of years ago I was fortunate enough to head out with Peter at night collecting crabs in Fiji whilst there on holiday. Two men in a wee dinghy collecting some rather large crabs. Do recall he took great pleasure seeing me try to evade the crabs we caught once on the boat. It also afforded us to have some great conversations - two men in a dinghy and reaffirmed to me what a simply great man Peter was.
Rest In Peace Peter.
