Peter SUTHERLAND Obituary

SUTHERLAND, Peter Patrick Martin. Surrounded by his beloved family, Peter passed away peacefully and magnificently on the 27th of April 2025 at Auckland City Hospital. Peter was a great intellect, inspired thinker, mentor, writer, chef, raconteur, part- time thespian and kind man who made a significant difference in many people's lives. He was soulmate, rock, "petey pie", and husband of Ainslie. Best friend and admired father of Jason and Callum, caring father-in-law of Diana and Cindy. Loved younger brother of David and John (deceased), and special brother-in-law to Pam. Cherished Uncle to Nene and Tina, and their families. A celebration of Peter's life will be held at the St Christopher's Chapel, 40 Queens Parade, Stanley Point, Devonport on Saturday the 3rd of May at 11.30am.
