How I miss Peter - such a lovely man. I'm thinking of the daffodils bulbs he planted in the rain - the amazing dishes he conjured up (particularly the Provencal one with the ratatouille mix in a full loaf of bread!) and most of all his amazing voice. Sending much love to the other side and a big hug for Alan from me (Debra), Omri & Paloma xxx

Dear Friends,

As you will see in the photo gallery, I am in the process of producing a fundraising show at the Cockpit Theatre in St John's Wood in London that will hopefully raise a significant sum for two charities that were very close to Peter's heart. I would be delighted if you were able to attend, but in the knowledge that many of you are spread far and wide that clearly won't always be possible.

However, if you would wish to help support the cause in any event, for which you know both Peter and I would be extremely grateful, you are able to easily make a donation by going to the Just Giving website I have set up – www.justgiving.com/alanandpeter . Any sum, however small, will be most welcome.

Kind regards,

Alan

We had soooo many wonderful visits, filled with great conversations, food and many trips to Charity Shops both in London and New York -- something we all shared and loved. Peter - "the man with the smile in his voice" - you will always be in our hearts. Your passing has left a huge hole in our lives....but our garden will always flourish and give us joy as a result of yours and Alan's kind gifts - the vine, camelia, tulips, azalea, acer. Your generosity of spirit, laughter, wonderful meals and warmth of friendship over the years, will last forever. Thank you so much for your important contribution to the Woollongong film - we couldn't have made it without you. The ability to make each person feel special was a unique gift. Your courage and fortitude in your final years, was a lesson to us all. We will honour our promise to you. We love and miss you....Ken and Alison

I BELIEVE THE VIKINGS SET THE STANDARD FOR ALL OF US MANY CENTURIES AGO, AS THEY WERE BROUGHT ON BOARD THEIR GREAT SHIPS IN FULL ARMOR, SPEARS, SWORDS, AXES AND OF COURSE PLENTY OF BEER. AS THEY WRAPED THE DRAPERIES OF THEIR COUCHS ABOUT THEM SELVES AND SETTLED DOWN TO SWEET DREAMS OF VALHALLA AND SAILED AWAY IN THEIR FLAMING SHIPS INTO THE SUNSET
SADLY FLAMING SHIPS AND COUCHES WITH DRAPERIES ARE NOT BEING DONE THIS SEASON.ALAN AND PETER ACHIEVED A TRIUMPH. THERE YOU WERE PETER IN FULL FORMAL ATTIRE WITH YOUR TOP HAT, SURROUNDED BY HUNDREDS OF FANS , FELLOW THESPIANS AS THE AIR WAS FILLED WITH WONDERFUL MUSIC AND WONDERFUL WORDS, AND ALAN AND THE REST OF YOUR FAMILY STOOD WITH YOU !!!

RONNIE AND I SALUTE AND APPLAUD YOU !!!

AND DEAR ALAN WE WILL CROSS THE THREE THOUSAND MILES OF SEA SOON AND BE ALONG SIDE YOU AND OTHERS EACH WITH A BEVERAGE OF OUR CHOICE AND HAVE A SWEET TIME.

Fantastic Peter! what can you say about someone who was liked by everyone who met him! I first met Peter many years ago when I was crawling under an old jag in my drive in Kew!
I then got to know Peter & his partner Alan over the years & Peter & I shared many happy hours crawling under more old jags ! driving round tracks for films, dragging his hands into photographs.Going to see him on stage (fantastic) great meals at their different houses, lots of quiche!! & loads of other stuff! always being charming and considerate to everyone he met including my Mum & girlfriends.
Always a positive & happy guy, willing to help if he could,
I remember him painting some of my house once!!
So sad to see him succumb to the cancer but he fought it so well for over 3 years & even in the last few weeks & days when I saw him in hospital, he was so upbeat, asking about how you & everyone else was, amazing! but that was the way he was, a really super ace guy!
All the very best, especially to Alan & of course the family.
I hope their many more memories of Peter will help them over the coming months & years. Mine certainly do.
Yes an all round Fab top bloke!!

Dear Peter,
I feel so lucky that you were part of my life since I can remember. You were at my Christening and at my wedding (you were the best on the dance floor of course!) and at everything in between. Everyone who ever knew you, whether briefly or during a life-long friendship, has something wonderful to say about you. You really were one of life's truly special people and I will miss you.

My dear Alan

I am so sorry to hear that Peter has died. I was aware that he had been ill and fighting cancer but his loss still comes as a shock leaving me with a great feeling of sadness. He was such a dear, sweet guy. I shall always remember, with great fondness, our time dancing and singing together in Very Good Eddie, and all of the happy occasions when I stayed with you both in your beautiful home in Richmond.

My sincere condolences, Alan.

With love, Vonya

Peter
I have lost one of my oldest friends. I met you when we were both at Matamata Intermediate school. I didn't warm to you immediately as you took the lead role which I had also auditioned for in the school's musical production! But we have both laughed about that many times since and our warm friendship here in London reminded me constantly just how long ago it was when your supreme talent first shone through on that school stage when I was shoved into the chorus. You have always been a star to me.
Your passing has shocked and saddened. I just want to smile with you again.
