Peter PHILLIPS Obituary
PHILLIPS, Peter John. Passed away peacefully, on 13 July 2025 in Tauranga, aged 89 years. Peter was the most dearly loved husband of Marita and much-loved father and father-in-law of Paul and Melanie (Adelaide), Diana (deceased), Todd and Natsuko (Tokyo) and Ritchie and Manuela (Fislisbach, Switzerland). He was a loved grandfather to Joel, Cameron, Jayden and Damon. Grateful thanks to Waipuna Hospice and to the wonderful carers at Bob Owens Hospital - you are special people. In lieu of flowers donations to Waipuna Hospice would be appreciated. Peter's funeral will take place at 2.00pm on Friday 25 July at Hope Family Funerals, 2a Loop Road, Te Puna. Deepest condolences Marita, Paul, Todd and Ritchie. Albeit a long time ago, I remember Peter as a very kind, gentle man who loved and was so proud of his family. I'm sure his loss will leave a huge hole for you all. Thinking of you all at this sad time. Karyn Murray

Peter was such a good friend to me when my husband died. And during Diana's long fight to live, I was proud to share in praying for her health, and later for her happiness.
You have lost a good man and a wonderful caring husband and father. He is safe now in Jesus hands. Thank you for sharing him with Glendowie Baptist Church for so many years.
