It is with heavy heart The Flynn family (Wreys Bush Southland) hear of Peters passing.
He was such and inspirational man and we recall the many telephone conversations had between Peter and our Dad.
Such a sad loss to you and us all. You are in our thoughts and we send you our sincere and deepest condolences

What a talented man he was. Brought out star stallions from US breeding wilderness, trained them to win top races, his southern raids memorable. But a man of many skills and abilities. Great rapport with media.Memory shines bright

Special Memories Of Peter.
We enjoyed time together on Lord Of The Rings.
I then worked with him at Strathcarron during the time His Royal Highness was at Stud.
As a Group One winning Trainer, Peter's success with the likes of Mr Illusion, Sculptor, Elendil, Reign Supreme , Imperial and many other high class horses was an inspiration to me.
The Champions Rough Habit and Veandercross were both born on Peter's property.
Together we enjoyed the success of his son Brett in the highly successful productions of Flight Of The Concords.
He was a good friend to me and good friends are very special.

Peter O'Dea

Peter was an amazing man and not much he didn't do. Knew him for over 40 years and used to enjoy our race day conversations, his opinions and ironic sense of humour.
Unfortunately our paths not crossed for a while but will be missed and remembered.
