Peter MCKAY Obituary

McKAY, Peter. Peter passed away at 1am on Friday, 16 January 2026 in the care of Edmund Hillary retirement village Aoraki Hospital. He leaves many people who loved him dearly - his wife of 64 yrs, Cecile, his Sister Mary, his children David, Mary, and Pauline, Son in Law Nick and Daughter in Law Lynley, all who he loved and cared about deeply. Peter also took joy in his grandchildren and great grandchildren - Molly, Giles, Elena, Julia, Ted, Arthur and Avery. A heartfelt thank you to all of Dads carers at Edmund Hillary, we are touched by your kindness and grace at this time, and for caring so beautifully for our darling Peter. A celebration of Peters remarkable life will be held at St Michael's Catholic Church, 6 Beatrice Road, Remuera on 23 January 2026 at 10.00am.
