LANCASTER, Peter Ross. Born June 20, 1962. Passed away on August 2, 2019. Passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a long illness. Beloved son of Maureen and the late Ron, and cherished brother of Ian, Brett and Brenda. A decent and honest man with a gentle soul A celebration of Peters life will be held in the Central Hotel, 18 Victoria Street, Dargaville at 11:00 am on Thursday 8th August 2019. Peter was one of the most patient and stoic people I have ever met. Where others would have failed, Peter made the most out of life, finding enjoyment in the most varied interests. Peter is an inspiration to us all; that those of us gifted with good health, should have far less to complain. Thank you for teaching humility.

Peter was a loved nephew of Christine(neeODonnell) and Rod Downs and cousin to Bec (Kennedy) and Steve
Peter never complained he must have been the Doctors dream patient.
He had the most beautiful hand writing and loved books
He would have been a great teacher!!!
We shall miss his gentle manner.
