Such a great guy. Drove the Fire Engine to the beach with all us punks on the back.
Laughed a lot that day.
Thanks Peter.

Our Sincere condolences on the death of your loved brother and brother-in-law. We only met Peter a few times and yet he left a real impression on us of his goodness and sincerity. Our thoughts are with you all at this time, and especially with your mother.
Losing a son before your time is one of the hardest things to deal with as a parent.
Take care and I´m sure you will support each other through this difficult time.
Love Sandra & Paul Elliott (Athenree)

My deepest sympathies on your loss. I met Pete in the US shortly before he returned to NZ in the mid-aughts. In a place where so many people live to work, his approach to work-life balance was so refreshing! And he was a gracious and generous
host when I had the chance to visit NZ in 2006. I have so many great memories from that trip. But one in particular stands out: When I expressed an interest in visiting the Waitomo Caves, Pete made special arrangements with his kayaking club for a twilight tour of the Mangakino Stream, where the glow worms put on an incredible show! Absolutely unforgettable. Although we lost touch over the years, I´ll remember him as a twinkling light, much like those Mangakino glow worms. Gone too soon, indeed.
