Peter KNIGHT Obituary

KNIGHT, Peter Douglas. Passed away suddenly, Sunday, November 4, 2018 at home in Uganda, aged 62. Dearly loved husband of Shirray. Cherished and loved son of Doug and Pam. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Bruce and Lorraine, Sue and Don, Helen and Adrian, Kevin and Laurie, Richard and Vicki. Memorial service details to be confirmed. Messages to the Knight Family, 140 Awakeri Road, Whakatane 3193.

I am saddened to hear the news that Peter has passed away. I knew him firstly as a fellow adventurer in Action Outdoors Association in Western Australia, then extended as Shirray's husband (I also knew her separately) in UK when they were involved in racing. Occasionally hearing from after that via LinkedIn messages, so it took until May 2019 before I found out about his parting. (His LinkedIn profile is still up and looking normal.) He will remain in my memory as the cheeky, smiling, adventurous, wonderfully descriptive, fun-loving man that I knew him as.
