Peter KELLY Obituary

KELLY, Peter Thomas. 6 February 1949 - 10 August 2025. Dearly loved husband of Pam for 53 years. Loved father and father-in- law of Sean and Jo (Puhoi); Glen and Frida; farfar of Saga, Alva, and Oskar (Stockholm). Loved brother of Michael and Lyn (Mangawhai), and the late Jill Braddick. Loved brother-in-law of Trevor, Shelly, and Margaret, and the late Graham. "Loved and missed by all who knew him." We will celebrate Peter's life at Newberrys Funeral Home, Corner Kamo Road and Moody Avenue, Whau Valley, Whangarei, on Wednesday 20 August 2025, at 1.30pm. Sending deepest condolences to you Pam, Sean, Glen and family. I'm thinking of you all in this time of loss and great sadness.
I'll miss Peter and our all too occasional long chats. My memories of him will always bring a smile. I'll remember him as the 'people person' of all people persons. Humble, generous, hardworking; a man who, it seemed to me, always did the right thing, went the extra mile, and did it with bells on. Curious about the world around him, intelligent, thoughtful, positive and cheerful. A great, great, not so ordinary, kiwi bloke. With much Aroha, Janet.
