As an old Te Kauwhata class-mate of Peter's in honour of happy memories of those days long ago I want to share the positive memories I have of Peter, his sisters and parents who were instrumental in integrating our family into country village life and learning. RIP.

To Daniel, Mandy and all the family. Sad to to read this news. I know you will all miss Peter. He was a man who always had time to tslk with people. We had some interesting conversations washing up the eucharistic dishes after 6pm Mass when we were both eucharistic ministers .

Anne and I are most sorry to learn of Peter´s passing. We are mindful of the greatly valued friendship that our families shared in the earlier years at Massey University. Peter was a thoughtful colleague, generous of time and spirit, giving his best in his teaching and support of students. His pleasant, amiable nature and gentle humour were appreciated. Our deepest sympathy and love to you, Marilyn, and your family. We are thinking of you.

We remember his gentleness, kindness and humility. I was privileged to be a colleague over many years and he and Marilyn became good friends. He is a Christian and I know he is in a better place now. But we are richer for all we did together, and send heartfelt condolences to Marilyn and family. Elizabeth (Lil) and Graeme Wake
