Peter HOOD Obituary

As part of Upper Ponsonby Rd`s Neighbourhood Support Group, I offer our sincere sympathy for the sad and sudden loss of Peter. Due to Covid in 2020, we haven't been able to hold an annual Neighbours' Day Aotearoa, but at least we could still meet on the street and greet as neighbours. I'm met Peter as a 19 year old university student. He was my flatmate in my first flat, and we became friends and have remained so over 37 years. I'm so sorry to hear of Peter's death. My sympathies to Shireen, Luke, Amelia Ted, and Janet. I will always remember the snow fights, pillow fights, and your organisation of our cooking and shopping roster.

Peter and I worked at ACC.
Peter was a hardworking person who was passionate about his work. We used to have lots of conversations about work, family and kids. He had such a Hearty Laugh. You will be dearly missed Peter. Rest in Peace.

Pete was a good friend, I was shocked to hear about his passing and my heart goes out to those he left behind. Pete always liked a good chat and a cuppa, usually the conversation was about family and how proud he was of all them- Ted with his football, Amilia with her baking and many other persuits, Luke with his TRADES, cars sports etc and Shirren being his partner. Pete and I talked about how to get the kids out and about, he was an avid believer in extra curricular activities, especially if it envoled technology.
But that being said, I will miss you Pete and our cups of tea the most, rest well my friend you will be missed.

Peter an I worked together at TAB NZ, and I found Peter to be very professional, caring and pationate about his work.

We used to go for a walk together and had several conversations about work and life and the things that mattered to us.

It will not be same without him.

Peter was a big personality in our team and was dedicated to doing the right thing for our customers. It won't be the same without him and our thoughts are with his family. We're very sorry for your loss.

My thoughts and love go out to Peter's family. Pete and I worked together a few years and we had so many chats about our life outside of work. We always talked about our kids and partners and how they were all going. I will miss those chats - rest in peace xox
