Peter GRIBBLE Obituary

GRIBBLE, Peter Raymond. Passed away on Monday, 4 February 2012; aged 74 years. Most dearly loved husband of Gwen. Much loved father and father-in-law of Campbell and Cecilia, and Brent and Sarinan. Loving Granddad of Luke and Maya. "Find the softest pillow, Lord, to lay his head upon, Place a kiss upon his lips and tell him who it's from." Goodbye my darling and thanks for all the good times and laughs. A celebration of Pete's life will be held at Grange Manor, 400 Dominion Road, Mt Eden on Monday, 11 February at 12.30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Cancer Society of NZ, PO Box 1724, Auckland 1140 would be appreciated. Messages may be left online at www.davisfunerals.co.nz/ memorials. Special thanks to family and friends as well as those who cared for Pete at Auckland Hospital and St Andrews Hospital.

To Gwen and family our hearts go out to you, Pete fought a brave fight and the spark was still there the last time we saw him, but the battle was not to be won and we are all the poorer for his passing. Gwen we are so glad we had the chance to see him when we we down. Our regret is that we are unable to be there for his send off. All our love Lance and Christine

To the Gribbles. Pete touched our lives and our hearts. Always ready with a cheeky quip over the fence, we couldn't have asked for a nicer neighbour and friend. Our two wee girls will miss telling Pete about their latest adventures. And we'll miss his smile, his humour, and his genuine love of life.
