Sorry we could not attend the celebration of Peter´s life on 4 November. He was an excellent principal to work with at Taumarunui High School. He developed a strong leadership team that I am proud to have been a part of. Peter´s fishing was his passion and probably his release from the pressures of the complex job he took so seriously. Thinking of the family and sending heartfelt sympathy, especially to Jude and Emily who I got to know quite well over their time in Taumarunui. Keep hold of those memories and Peter will live forever in your hearts and minds.

One of my all time favourite teachers. He was my form teacher when I was very young and silly and he always took my shenanigans well. He did get slightly ruffled when we carried his mg into the senior common room at the end of our 7th form year. A great guy. Deepest sympathies
