Peter GARDNER-BROWN Obituary

To my darling "baby" brother Peter. It is hard to believe a year has now gone by since you left us so suddenly and without any warning. Mum finds it so hard to talk about you - except with Jason - and I think that makes your loss even harder to bear. I know you are with me a lot in the quieter moments and I cherish those times. I suppose one day I will get to the point of not crying whenever I think of you but I don't know if that will ever happen. Love you always your "big" sister Cheryl xxx

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. We will love on Kathleen here in Calgary.

My condolences to all the family. Many happy memories growing up with Peter in Glendowie and sorry his life has been tragically cut short.

My Beloved Baby Brother Peter,

What can I say to you, with a lifetime of memories in my heart. You were that little boy with the proud look and big bow tie (snappy dresser). The”chicken chest” teen wearing many shirts to look bulked up. The handsome model, a fully grown man.

One memory that must be shared is of all those baths you took for many hours and we, your siblings, brought hot chocolate to you as you laid back and soaked.

More recently, in New Zealand, the fun you and I had getting lost going to Stanmore Bay and driving around Orewa. Remembering our times there when Dad was working in the telephone exchange and we holidayed at the beach. We covered our wonderful childhood on that drive.

My lasting and beautiful picture of us a few years ago is jogging (slowly) around the waterfront. We looked out to see three dolphins appearing to keep pace with us. It was a lovely day and we commented to each other that “this was the life”.

You are loved always and forever, your Sis Kathleen.

GARDNER-BROWN, Peter George William. Passed away suddenly at home on the Gold Coast; aged 59 years. Much loved son of Ann and the late Gordon. Adored and loved little brother of Cheryl, Paul and Kathleen and all his nephews and nieces. Our hearts are broken and our lives will never be the same again.
