Rest in Peace Peter - it was such a joy to be reunited with you a few years ago and reminisce about our school days and growing up in the same area which was Maraetai and Beachlands. Through meeting up with you we then had two reunions with a lot of our school friends and people of the community. It probably would never have happened if we had not met up for a lunch...so thanks to you I have a lot of very fond memories of those times. My last words to you now are 'try to behave yourself'!! I hear you were quite the jokester...I will remember you with fondness. Glenice Renaud(Hodge)

Peter is one of my best and down to earth friend I've had the priviledge & honour to enjoy his kindness and honest advice when I needed it...I will miss him dearly and his memory of him will remain with me till eternity !!!

So many good times and laughs while working with you at South Auckland Motors. There was never a dull moment when you were around. Your wicked sense of humour and whit will be sorely missed.

Pete...It was an honour & priviledge to have your wonderful friendship we both shared for over 40 years ...theres so much to say but at present I'm loss with words...Peter Doughty ...love u till eternity !!!

It was a real privilege and absolute pleasure working with Peter at Metro Radio in 1991-2. He was so lovely and made my first job in Hong Kong enjoyable and I learned a lot from him.
RIP dear Peter.
