Peter Dillon Obituary

DILLON, Peter. On August 6 2011, Geelong Australia, after a long battle with cancer, with his whole family at his side he finds peace at last. He will be remembered for his contributions to the lives of many Auckland teenagers when he was at the Hillsborough Friary. Loved husband of Gabriella, father of Francis, William, Oliver, Gabriel and Martha. Loved son-in-law, brother -in-law and uncle to all the van der Fluit tribe in NZ. We are blessed for having the privilege of knowing you. 'Tuttissimi amor'

There are certain people in life who stand out from the rest - and you Peter were one of those. Though our paths crossed only briefly back in Hillsborough Friary I remember you as being an absolutely fine human being. You see, I was one of those awkward teenagers (aged 14) struggling to get on in life; and you made a difference - a big difference ........ you made me feel like I actually mattered. This I have never forgotten. Thank you
