Peter Cox Obituary

COX, Peter Seymour. Died in Auckland Hospital on Friday 10 February 2012, aged 65. Loved, esteemed and longtime husband and companion of Judy, dad to the late Danny, constant brother of Robert. Cherished son of the late Freda and Kenneth Cox. Pete's dry wit, intelligent and ironic view of life, his scripts poetry and cartoons will all be so much missed and remembered by family and friends alike. Vale "The Crossing", Waikato Horse trials, Waiheke Coastguard, his newfound joy of Paris, and Slipper. Pete will be cremated privately at the family's request. A gathering for friends and family is to be held at Purewa Crematorium, 100 St John's Road, Meadowbank on Thursday 16 February, 10:30AM, to saute his life and launch Pete on the next part of his journey. Communications to 41 Korora Road, Oneroa, Waiheke Island.

Judy we have just returned from holiday to learn of your news, we had many great times at' the Crossing 'Mini cars, billy tea, riding horses and lots of social gatherings with Pete being completely in control with his humour and ideas.Our thoughts are with you and Robert

Although I have seen little of you both over recent years I have fond memories of our boyhood together and when we both young men. Pete's wit and dry humour, our holidays together at the Mount and the Chateau have suddenly resurfaced in my mind.

Cheryl did not meet Pete but certainly remembered the occasions she met Freda.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in this sad time.
