Peter BRYSON Obituary

What a wonderful guy Pete was. Liverpool fan through & through, all of his life. I couldn´t believe when he told me he was going to live in NZ (1972). I didn´t think he could live so far away from Anfield.
I knew him in his apprentice days working at my school in Birkdale, Southport. We later went out together for a while & stood on the Kop together! Always great fun loved by everyone he knew. I´ll never forget his very cute smile

I only found out today 25/10/19 that Peter had passed away, I knew Peter from when he lived in Fazakerley and when we used to travel together to watch Liverpool,

When he & his family moved to NZ all those years ago I was saddened to be losing a friend and more than saddened now to learn about Peters passing.

Sadly we lost touch many years ago, I tried to find out what had happened to Peter but could never fnd anything , ( I now reside in Sydney,)

I often wondered about my mate nicknamed "them bones" cause he was a skinny bloke growing up! Peter was in the year above me at St Bonaventures , but his brother was it Tommy was in the same class as me but he was an evertonian!

I have seen this gentleman walk in front of the Business School at University of Auckland with an apprentice. He wore grey overalls, was of medium height and his apprentice was taller than him. I have watched this duo go from Property Services to the old Engineering building on many days. I was certain that this gentleman was a good mentor and I have seen the respect of the apprentice to him. Today, I came to know from another Property Services staff member, now working for a Service Provider, about the passing of Peter Bryson. I am sad that I could not express my feelings to him whenever I saw him on Campus. To his family members, please accept my sincere condolences.

So shocked to hear of Peter's passing, have great memories of our footballing days at 71 Club, our thoughts are with you at this sad time

So sad to learn of Peters passing. Back in the late 80''s he coached (and plenty of times yelled ) me at PTFC, such was his passion for football. Afterwards he would always put his arm around me and in a quiet manner explain where I could improve, often with a pint in our hands. Some years later he suggested I come over to South Auckland Rangers, where he and Steve made a great coaching duo. Those were my fondest memories of Peter, always offering up a football story, always having a laugh - a terrific bloke.

Peter was a special man, always willing to help. Great to talk to, always with a smile. Scouser to scouser Say one for you

A real 'Old School" guide and mentor to many Etco electrical apprentices at University of Auckland Property Services, over the years. Always ready with advice, a cheeky smile and of course a joke or two.
