Peter BLACK Obituary

BLACK, Peter Michael. 27.07.1956 ~ 25.11.2016 Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. Adored husband, father and granddad of Annette, Todd and Snow, Keryn and Jeffrey, Dean and Meg, Marc and Kristen, Maddison, Carter, Brooklyn, Rosie (Puti), Rory and Wiremu. Loved son of Tricia and the late Alfred Black and brother and brother in law of Denise and Nick Webber. At peace after a brave battle fought with dignity. In lieu of flowers, donations to Leukaemia and Blood Cancer NZ, P O Box 99-182, Auckland. Special thanks to all who have supported us over the past three and a half years. Communications to PO Box 14, Pokeno 2440. A celebration of Peter's life will be held on the No. 1 field, Bombay Rugby Club, Paparata Rd, on Thursday 1st December at 2 pm followed by a private cremation.

I have fond memories during my teenage years of holidays spent with the Black Family. I always looked up to Denise's 'Big Brother Pete', (even though he mostly avoided us 'giggly girls' and was always either heading out hunting or going to rugby training/games) Thanks Pete for the rabbits foot you gave me for good luck, I kept it for years.
