Peter BARRETT Obituary

BARRETT, Peter Richard. Died unexpectedly on Sunday 23 October 2022 after a short illness, aged 65. Well known and respected throughout the film and television industry and more recently an owner of Mai Day Spa in Ponsonby. Sadly missed by partner Sutaphat. Much loved father of Chris and Dan, adored brother of Emily, uncle of Amy and Tim Flower, dear friend of Peter and Cris Roberts, in the hearts of many. A celebration of Peter's life for all who cherished this amazing man will be held on Sunday 30th October. For details please email: [email protected]

Such an erudite and singular man. A thinker. I enjoyed his comments of life around him. Deep symapthy to his family and many friends.

I remember having a great time with Peter when he stayed at my mother's house in Karori, Wellington. My parents were great friends of Peter's parents and lived close by.

We went out to cool bars and in Auckland he took me to a Gloss party (BYO no less). Peter always was laid back, with that yeah expression of his. He was generous, fun and kind and will be missed. X
