Dear Lise, Joseph, David and Michael and all the Babich family,
Eunsuk and I have and always will always hold a special place in our hearts for Peter. His tales were always humorous and warm and it was always an honour to be in his presence. We were fortunate enough to have Peter and Joe attend our wedding as our friends, which is how we have always regarded them and the whole Babich family. Eunsuk and I tried to visit when we could and Peter was always welcoming and would ask us to the board room table for a cup of tea and biscuit. I was blessed to have Peter as one of my first mentors in the wine industry and I will remember hi lessons for all of my life. The Gregory family will miss you dearly but know that yours was a life excellently lived.

Love and kind regards,

Alan Gregory

Dear Babich Family,
Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the passing of Peter Babich. For 34 years, I have had the honour of working closely with Peter and being a part of the Babich family. Peter was not only a generous and decent human being but also a visionary in the wine industry, whose legacy will continue to impact New Zealand and beyond.
Peter's dedication to his craft and his community was evident in every word and action. His belief in giving back to the land exemplified his commitment to sustainability and the future. It was a privilege to witness his passion and knowledge firsthand, and I will always cherish the memories and lessons he shared.
