Peter AMBRIDGE Obituary

AMBRIDGE, Peter Barry (Barry). Unexpectedly and peacefully at home in his 92nd year. Much loved husband of 65 years to Jeanette and father and father-in-law of Simon and Karen, Brett and Felicity, Nicole and Scott. Most loyal supporter of his grandchildren - Fraser and Finn, Jess, Jordyn and Shannon, Mitchell, Lauren and Nathan and his great grandchildren Oscar and Tory. Dearly loved son and brother of the late Wal and Dot, and Les. Barry was larger than life. His cup was always half full - as his loyalty to his weekly Lotto numbers attests. His love of all sport, a big breakfast and a good brass band knew no bounds. Rest well. Funeral service to be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, 10 February 2024, at Purewa. Private cremation to follow. Jeanette and family our sincere condolences with the passing of Barry.
Both of you helped us settle into Remuera Golf Club when I received the Superintendents position in 1979.
We now reside in Katikati.

Our father's banter with Barry spanned decades. Their engagement over golf and most any anything else ball related provided any number of excuses for a relaxing moment with a drink in hand. Barry's was a life well lived and we are grateful to have been a small part of it. Tizard Family.
