Peet DOWRICK Obituary

DOWRICK, Peet. Passed away April Fool's Day after a battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. World leader in video self-modelling as Professor of Disability Studies (Univ. Hawaii) and Professor of Psychology in Philadelphia, Alaska and Auckland. Peet's career as author, researcher and mentor spanned over 50 years. Brilliant comic actor, superb performer of Winnie-the-Pooh, lover of wine and whiskey, a rebel against convention. Fondly missed by family, colleagues and friends. A brillant mind gone too soon. Fresh out of graduate school Peter gave me my first job. Worked with him on helping individuals with disabilities. Always curious and productive, Peter was forever pursuing new concepts and ideas. Grateful for having had the opportunity to work with you. So long friend.
