Pauline Queer Obituary

Pauline F. Queer, 83, of Mt. Pleasant RD7 (East Huntingdon Township), died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005, in Excela Health Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. She was born March 19, 1922, in Garrett County, Md., a daughter of the late Jasper and Mary Ellen Beckett Grove. Mrs. Queer was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Church of the Brethren and the former Iron Bridge Ladies Club. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James R. Queer, in 1996; an infant son, Roger Queer; her sisters, Florence Shoemaker, Pearl Reid, Mary Lytle, Iva Dixon and Hazel Weaver; and a brother, Ralph Grove. She is survived by four sons, James Queer and his wife, Peggy, of Hunker, Glenn Queer and his wife, Rosemary, of Churchill, Fred Queer and his wife, Beverly, of Mt. Pleasant, and Thomas Queer and his wife, Lea, of Mt. Pleasant; five grandchildren, Mark Queer and his wife, Christine, Jody Hirst and her husband, Chris, Shelley Queer, Jeremy Queer and his wife, Crystal, and Fred Queer Jr. and his wife, Mindy; eight great-grandchildren, Joshua, Kara, Kayla, Rebecca, Samuel, Andrew, Nicholas and Katlyn; a sister, Elsie Glass, of Accident, Md.; and two brothers, Floyd Grove and his wife, Thelma, of Addison, Md., and John Grove and his wife, Phyllis, of Norristown, Pa. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 406 E. Washington St., Mt. Pleasant, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Eric Ritenour officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Joy Cemetery.
